The
Insights Panel is a collection of 5,000 small and home-based
business owners and operators, assembled for the purpose of gathering
critical market information. It is the only panel dedicated
to tracking the Small Office and Home Office (SOHO) market.
Now providers of
SOHO goods and services can obtain the information they need to track
and better serve this expansive market. The Insights Panel will provide
a platform from which SOHO owners can express their market needs and
desires.
Panel
Composition
The
panel represents a broad range of businesses and industries that make
up the SOHO market. TechnoMetica's Small Business Research Divion
independently recruits, builds and maintains the Insights Panel, which
includes 5,000 Owners, Presidents and Vice Presidents of small and
home-based businesses representing diverse industries. While custom
segments are available, we have broken the sample into the following

Participant
Selection and Participation
Selection: Each month 2,000 panelists are randomly selected from
the Insights Panel to participate in a survey. This method assures the
credibility of both research and panel, as well as giving every panelist
a chance to participate a few times a year.
Panelists are invited to participate and have the choice of so
doing.
Topics: Insights Panel members are asked to participate in surveys
that collect information on a wide range of issues relevant to operating
a small and home-based business. Among the topics covered are computing
and the internet, communications, finance, travel, office equipment,and
insurance and healthcare usage.
We also collect basic demographic information on SOHO owners and operators
as well as their businesses. An update survey is circulated every year
so as to keep members' profiles up-to-date.
Data collection:
The surveys are distributed and collected via mail and use of the internet
is being tested.
There are a number of products offered through
the Insights Panel as well as several ways in which clients can customize
use of the Panel and the surveys to better meet their needs.
All information collected by the Small Business Research Division
remains property of TechnoMetrica. TechnoMetrica will keep all information
confidential as related specifically to
the clients' business. Information purchased from TechnoMetrica remains
the property of the purchasing company and they are free to use it
as they choose.
